Financial Literacy & Workforce Readiness

Our Financial Literacy & Workforce Readiness programs equip young men with the practical knowledge and mindset they need to handle money wisely and step confidently into the world of work. We connect dollars, decisions, and discipline so that financial freedom is not an abstract idea, but a set of habits they begin practicing now.

Using the Financial and Execution pillars of the G.I.F.T.E.D. Framework, we teach the fundamentals of money management: budgeting, saving, understanding banking, the basics of credit, and the real cost of common financial choices. Participants learn to read a pay stub, create a simple spending plan, and think long term about purchases, debt, and emergency savings.

On the workforce side, we focus on work ethic, reliability, and professionalism. Sessions walk students through how to prepare a basic resume, complete job applications, show up ready for interviews, and communicate respectfully with supervisors. We also open their vision through career exploration for youth, discussing trades, college, entrepreneurship, and other pathways that fit different strengths and interests.

Throughout the program, students complete real-world exercises: building a personal budget, practicing interview questions, planning short- and long-term financial goals, and reflecting on the kind of provider and leader they want to become. Mentors and facilitators share their own experiences-both wise moves and mistakes-to make the content honest and relatable.
